Frequently asked questions
It is the responsibility of each participant to check whether you need a visa. The requirements are different from country to country. Official information can be found here.
In the registration form, you can indicate that you will need an invitation letter. After completing your registration, please write to the conference secretariat to provide us with the necessary details. These typically include at least:
your full name and address
your nationality and passport number
your passport expiration date
your date of birth
your intended dates of stay
Visa invitation letters can only be issued after payment and receipt of the conference registration fees. In case you need to pay by invoice, note that it can sometimes take weeks for the invoice to be issued and the payments to be processed, so we strongly recommend completing your registration by credit card. If you really need to pay by invoice, please register as early as possible to allow sufficient time for the process to be completed.
We have managed to maintain the exact same conference fees as for the Psi-k 2022 conference, as follows:
495 CHF — Early-bird registration (until May 31, 2025) All deadlines 23:59 CEST
595 CHF — Regular registration (June 1-30, 2025)
695 CHF — Late registration (July 1-31, 2025)
795 CHF — On site registration (August 25-28, 2025)
The conference fees are the same for all attendees and we do not have students discounts. However, there are 3 types of fellowships which offer support for various types of attendees: you can see the details here.
The registration fee includes access to all sessions, all coffee breaks, the lunches on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The gala event will be free of charge for conference attendees but will require a separate registration (we will reach out to conference participants closer to the conference date about this).
The default payment method is by credit card at the end of the registration form. In case you cannot immediately pay your registration by credit card, a second option lets you make a reservation: in that case, make sure you have entered the complete and correct billing information ("I need an invoice" box). An invoice will be sent to you in the next few days. Note that if you choose this 'reservation' option, an administration fee of CHF 65 will be added to the invoice.
Your registration is only complete after payment is processed and you have received a confirmation email. For this reason, and since bank transfers can take time to be processed (sometimes weeks), we strongly recommend that you use the direct credit card payment method if you need a visa invitation letter, or if you want to submit an abstract to be considered for an oral presentation. In this case, please make sure to register by April 30.
Yes! In case you cannot immediately pay your registration by credit card, a second option lets you make a reservation. You will then receive an email which will include a payment link. If someone else can make a credit card payment, you can share that direct link to proceed with the payment. This is the same link that lets you edit and update your abstract details. Even if someone else proceeds with the payment, you will still be able to edit your abstract details at any time, and the credit card details will not be visible.
Registrations are firm and non-refundable. If you are unable to participate, entries may be transferred, one time only, to a third party by informing the conference secretariat ahead of the conference from the email address used to register. The new participant must then present the original registration confirmation on site at the conference.
You have until May 31 (23:59 CEST) if you want your abstract to be considered for an oral presentation, or until June 30 (23:59 CEST) if you want to present a poster.
Yes, you can! The registration form is set up in such a way that the abstract section can also be completed/edited after your registration is complete: you can therefore choose to submit your abstract at the time of registration, or at a later date (or not submit an abstract at all). Once your registration and payment are complete, you will receive a confirmation email with a link allowing you to fill, complete, or edit the abstract details. The deadlines are May 31 if you want your abstract to be considered for an oral presentation, or June 30 if you want to present a poster.
No, you cannot. Abstracts can be submitted only when you register to the conference, or after registering (as explained above).
Abstracts are plain text only, so you cannot submit figures. In case your abstract text requires special formatting (subscripts, greek letters, formulas, etc.), simply enter them in LaTeX format. Example: molecule $H_2O$, parameter $\alpha$, conference $\Psi_k$.
